First giveaway challenge... EVER!
It is past due, don't you think? I have been writing for over a year now and we didn't even celebrate my blog-iversary! I wasn't sure what I would do if I ever had a giveaway, and then it came to me:
My mom always tells me to thank people even for the smallest things. It shows them that you appreciate them and it gives them an incentive to be/do good... not just to you, but to everyone else. I love this, and I really take it to heart - you can see how this reflects on my work.
So, to say Thank You, for an amazing year (and some), for sticking with me in the good, the bad and the dirty, I am giving away this set of Thank You note cards to a lucky winner!
Best part?... it doesn't matter where you are in the world - I will ship it to you for free!
It's really simple: To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment and tell me what you're thankful for.
BONUS POINTS:
So, what are YOU thankful for?

Things I get myself into...
By any chance, have you picked up the newest NH Magazine Bride?! If you haven't, you must go get it NOW, because... wait for it... wait for it...
There's a full article written by me!!
If you go to the Real Weddings section, you will see the most beautiful wedding ever: Mushka Krinsky and Dovi Barber.
Writing this article was an eye opener. First, I learned so much about the Chessidic Jeweish wedding and the "why" of so many things! It made me understand so much more and to unvail that perception I had as an outsider. Seriously, if you ever wondered why they shatter a glass with their heel, or why the bride is always completely vailed during the ceremony, this article is a must read!
Second, I discovered a writer in me. - Wait, what?! Haven't I been writing on this blog for over a year??... yeah, I never considered myself a writer until I had to sit down, research a subject and write 600 words for it (which, by the way, was really hard to stick to - so much to tell!).
Third, this was a truly satisfying accomplishment. Being from another country and coming here in 2001 without knowing a word of English (except hello, my name is sara - and perhaps, food - you know, for survival), it was huge to be able to write an article and be published. It feels amazingly good!
So, now that I'm a well known writer, please line up with your inquiries. I am taking jobs that are more related to the wedding industry. Please, please... don't fight for my attention! - ha, ha, as if!
Ok, seriously though, go pick up the magazine and read it! it would mean the world to me.

How to create an efficient Facebook Ad
Hey guys... Happy Monday!
Last week I talked about how to get people to trust you and your brand, and I promised you I would give you the info I gathered in how to create a successful Facebook Ad campaign to gain fans, so your reach can go from nearly nothing to... well, A LOT!
As you know, my first few ads didn't work so well, but I quickly figured out why and how to change that. It all goes back to giving first!
I had to work hard to figure out this formula. There isn’t anything out there that tells you how to word your ad, how to make it, and how to put it in your Facebook, all in one place. You have to jump through hoops to get all that info. So I decided it would only be fair to make it available to the public all in one package, this is all free, of course. This is my way of giving first to you.
In a few steps I will teach you:
1. How to create images for your Facebook Ad
2. How to upload your images and share them
3. How to crate a page to give a code to your fans (you know! one of those that say "click the LIKE button and receive {promotion}")
4. I will link you up to a great article that will teach you how to word your Facebook Ad
5. And of course, you will get your own FREE SHIPPING code (within the US) on your first order at my Etsy Shop!
So, if you are serious about finding out how to make a successful ad for Facebook, just add your e-mail to my mailing list – as soon as you sign up you will receive an e-mail with a downloadable link for the file, and your FREE SHIPPING code.

How to get people to trust you, part two
On wednesday I asked you the question that has been nagging at me for months: How to get people to trust you and, eventually, buy from you?
You give first.
I know, the cost is high, you already have a lot to do and you’re making very little to no money. But think of it as an investment. Or even as a friendship!
When you meet someone and you want to get to know them better and become friends, what do you do? Invite them for coffee, or to do something fun, or simply listen to what they have to say. You invest time with them and next thing you know, they are hooking you up with the right people for one thing or another. (Note: I am by no means saying to invest time in your friends BECAUSE they might give you something back – they might give you something back BECAUSE you’ve been such a good friend!)
People with online shops need to target the right market. I am taking a great class with Andreea Ayers from Product Marketing Breakthrough (This class has really opened my eyes!) and one of the things I’ve learned is: you can’t try to sell to everyone, you’ll just get burned out with little results.
After you have chosen the type of shoppers you want to target, find out what blogs they visit, and the things they like, go ahead and give! Here are some options:
Do a giveaway in a well recognized blog your your shoppers visit. (If you don't know what this would be, literally ask them!)
Also, offer a discount!
A few weeks back I decided to give a discount through Facebook. My reasoning for this was:
1. I wanted people to like my Facebook Page
2. I
want to communicate with people through Facebook so they can get to know me
3. In order for them to like my page, they need a reason
4. This reason was a 25% off my Etsy shop in their first order
5. Hopefully, they want to take advantage of that 25% off right away, and shop!
This is what happened: the first couple of Ads I made got me a few fans, but didn’t do much:

Before I give you this file, I want you to take this weekend and think really hard:
1. What is your target market? (who buys your items and what do they do, where do they shop regularly, what do they read?)
I can't wait to hear what you think, and I promise you, on Monday I will tell you what I did, how I did it, and how you can do the same to get your sales to boom like this:
