Print Museum

A couple of weeks ago Adam and I went to the Museum of Printing in North Andover, MA for a type sale. On our way there we realized that Adam's phone was dead (which we use for GPS) and I had forgotten to bring my own GPS...

So what did we do? Yep, good old fashion: we had to stop and ask for directions. Everyone knew where it was, but no one could actually tell us how to get there! Eventually we made it, even though by then Adam was extremely frustrated with me for dragging him out in the rain to look at wood type! who does that to their boyfriends?!

I had been there once before, so I knew what to expect, but while I was looking at type, cabinets and some machines, Adam took off to look at everything they had... and, boy! I almost had to drag him out of there!

Note sure who had more fun! <3

That is Adam explaining that huge which was supposed to be a hard drive or something like that... I was more interested in the Kluge around the corner!

Sewsday

Lately I've been in a sewing kick. I don't know, the whole thing of making the cards in the old style of letterpress has given me this "I can figure it out" attitude. Now I've seen plenty of entries where people end up hating their sewing machines and the whole process, but for some reason I have found them really inspiring!

The other day I found this simple Pillow Cover instructions at Lemon Tree Creations, and figured they were simple enough to follow. So here is what I made!

I also made a reversible purse, which I will post soon!

What have you been up to lately? Have you made anything?

Hard times

I swear, I am really trying to post more often, but the days are going by so fast... I have like 20 new things to tell you, and I just can't find the time to sit down, sort through pictures and write about it without just blurting it out incoherently.

Patience!

Let's get rich...

I know this is supposed to be all letterpress, but my work comes from the things and people who surround me. Today was such a beautiful day! Adam and I went up a mountain (which I already forgot the name of), went for a run and then a 20 mile bike ride. Needless to say... it's been an amazing day.

I have been thinking all day about this song by Ingrid Michaelson, and I can't get it out of my head...(Adam will probably kill me for being so sappy, but here it goes!)

Time flies

I tell myself every week that I am going to start posting more often, but not well I finish writing one post, it is already the end of the week! Having a day job also makes it all go fast - it helps when you also love what you're doing :-)

Here are a few pictures of what I've been up to lately:

Have a great weekend everyone! don't forget to find me on twitter!
